We are seeking a Regional Technical Director to lead the technical and design delivery of our data centre & advanced manufacturing projects within the SES Technology division. This is a pivotal SLT level leadership role, responsible for driving technical excellence, compliance, best value design and innovation across a portfolio of high-value, complex MEP projects in the data centre sector.

You will lead the technical team, collaborating with regional and national technical leaders to ensure best-in-class delivery. This role is instrumental in shaping the technical strategy for SES Technology and ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of performance, compliance, and client satisfaction.

What you'll be doing:  

  • Provide strategic technical leadership across SES Technology's data centre & advanced manufacturing projects, ensuring consistency and quality in design and delivery.
  • Lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary technical team from preconstruction through to project completion.
  • Collaborate with other Regional Technical Directors and the Managing Director to align technical delivery with business objectives.
  • Champion innovation, digital engineering, and design excellence, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act and CDM regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and proactive governance across all technical functions.
  • Support resource planning, lead on MEP consultant selection, and performance management across the design lifecycle.
  • Ensure all design outputs align with SES Technology's offsite manufacturing (OSM) strategy and digital engineering standards.
  • Given the nature of this position, you will be required to undergo a Basic/Standard/Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at offer stage

What you will bring: 

  • Proven experience in leading technical delivery on complex MEP projects, ideally within the data centre, mission-critical environments and/or advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work, BSRIA BG6, and digital engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive consistency, innovation, and quality across multiple projects and regions.
  • A passion for design & technical excellence and a commitment to delivering value for clients and the business
