PROPOSALS MANAGER – SOUTH
SES Engineering Services are looking for a Proposals Manager to join our South team, playing a key role in the preparation, coordination and delivery of high‑quality proposal and tender submissions across the region.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Proposals Managers are a vital part of our Business Development and Pre‑Construction teams, leading and managing the preparation, coordination and delivery of high-quality proposal and tender submissions across multiple projects. The role works closely with the Marketing function to maintain consistency of message, tone and visual identity across all customer-facing materials. It plays a key part in converting opportunities into secured work by producing compelling, accurate and well-structured proposals that demonstrate technical capability and value.
You will oversee and deliver all proposal documentation required for tender submissions, working collaboratively with pre-construction, estimating, design, marketing and customer strategy teams. The Proposals Manager ensures that proposals are cohesive, persuasive and aligned with bid strategy, whilst leasing on strategy to continually improveme our submissions, utilising new methods of technology and design, ensuring we deliver ‘best in class' proposal documentation.
AS OUR PROPOSALS MANAGER, YOU WILL:
- Develop, maintain and apply company proposal templates, style guides and brand standards.
- Translate win themes, customer drivers to create persuasive, accurate, and engaging bid submissions, presentations, and other quality-related materials to support successful tender outcomes.
- Collaborate with Bid Managers, Pre-Construction Managers, and subject matter experts to develop clear value propositions that align with client priorities.
- Participate in workshops and meetings to develop win themes, clarify strategy, and shape high-quality submissions.
- Manage the proposal development process, ensuring consistency in tone, structure, and messaging across all submission documents.
- Gather and maintain up-to-date company information, case studies, and project data to support efficient and accurate proposal development.
- Produce supporting materials such as brochures, presentations, and marketing collateral to enhance bid submissions and post-tender engagement.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform proposal strategy and positioning.
- Drive continuous improvement in the quality of submissions by capturing feedback, sharing best practice, and adopting new tools, technologies, and design approaches.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure all proposals reflect current brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual standards.
- Review and edit technical and commercial content to improve clarity, structure and overall quality.
- Support the development and maintenance of a central knowledge library and best-practice repository
