LOGISTICS MANAGER – COVENTRY

SES Manufacturing are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our off-site production team, supporting the delivery of high-profile, technically complex products.

This role is based working at our off-site manufacturing facility in Coventry, playing a key role in delivering efficient, high-quality manufacturing and project outcomes.

If you are passionate about logistics, supply chain performance, and driving operational excellence — and are looking for an opportunity to challenge the norm, bring new ideas, and make a real impact — join us and help create tomorrow together.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Logistics Managers are a critical part of our operations, responsible for the management and coordination of materials, logistics, and supply chain activities across our manufacturing and project environments.

In this role, you will lead all aspects of material control, logistics planning, and supply chain engagement — ensuring materials and equipment are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with production and project requirements.

As our Logistics Manager, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fabrication partners, and logistics providers
  • Coordinate supply chain activities to ensure materials align with production schedules and project deadlines
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies including storage, transport, and delivery planning
  • Oversee material control processes including goods receipt, inventory management, and quality checks
  • Introduce and manage systems for tracking materials, including digital and QR-based solutions
  • Lead factory logistics operations, including movement of products, lifting strategies, and transportation to storage or projects
  • Monitor supply chain and logistics performance through KPIs, identifying improvements and driving efficiencies
  • Support estimating, design, and project teams to develop practical and effective logistics strategies
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards across all logistics activities

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong experience in logistics, material control, and supply chain management
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end logistics operations in a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Knowledge of inventory systems, material tracking, and logistics planning tools
  • Experience working with suppliers, transport providers, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and drive performance improvements
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions and improve efficiency
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary & profit share scheme
  • Flexible working
  • Car Allowance / Company Car (subject to Role/Grade)
  • Travel covered to any of our sites (subject to HMRC advisory rates)
  • Extensive corporate benefits including Private Medical, Pension (6% employer contribution), Health & Wellness programme, 26 days holiday + bank holidays and more
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities to support your career progression
  • Industry-leading family leave policies
