MEP Project Buyer

Location: London
Job Type: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Buyer to join our Procurement team at SES Engineering Services.

Working as part of a high-performing procurement function, you will play a key role in supporting projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from work winning and pre-construction through to procurement, delivery and project completion. You will work closely with pre-construction, commercial, operational and project teams to develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver best value, manage risk and support successful project outcomes.

The primary focus of the role is to ensure materials, equipment and associated supply chain solutions are procured competitively, within budget and in line with project quality, specification and programme requirements. You will also support the early engagement of suppliers during bid and pre-construction phases, helping to secure capacity, drive innovation and identify value opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of procurement within the construction, engineering or M&E sectors, together with an understanding of project procurement processes and commercial drivers. You will be a confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing decisions and managing multiple procurement packages in a fast-paced project environment.

Alongside this, you will have a proactive approach to supplier relationship management and be able to identify opportunities to improve value, reduce risk and support project delivery through effective procurement strategies.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional to further develop their career within a growing and dynamic business, working on some of the UK's most prestigious engineering and construction projects. You will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic procurement initiatives whilst supporting operational teams across multiple regions.

There will be a requirement to travel to project and regional offices when required, with occasional overnight stays.

Package dependent on experience.
