The role: SES are currently looking for an Assistant Digital Engineer to join our Manufacturing team. 

As the Assistant Digital Engineer for SES Manufacturing, you will support the delivery and coordination of digital products and solutions across SES projects and programmes. The role will assist with the integration of technologies across Digital Buildings, Digital Developments, Digital Services and Digital Standards, helping to ensure digital deliverables align with organisational and client expectations and contribute to SES's Digital Transformation journey by supporting activities such as Common Data Environment setup, digital tool deployment, workflow integration, basic automation routines, model and data visualisations, and immersive technologies including Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality. 

What you'll be doing:  

• Supporting the delivery of digital products and solutions across SES projects and programmes, including the setup, testing and implementation of digital technologies. 

• Assisting with the deployment of SES's Digital Transformation capabilities, including Common Data Environments, digital workflow tools, basic automation routines and structured data systems.  

• Contributing to immersive and visualisation technologies, including VR, AR, MR and 4D/5D simulations, to support project understanding and stakeholder engagement.  

• Working collaboratively with project teams and digital specialists to help integrate digital tools and workflows across disciplines, supporting consistent delivery aligned to SES standards. 

• Supporting digital development activity through tracking product usage, user feedback and delivery progress using reporting tools and dashboards. 

• Assisting with the rollout of SES's Digital First strategy, contributing to continuous improvement through testing, feedback and iteration. 

What you will bring:

We are looking for a proactive and curious individual with a genuine interest in digital construction, technology and innovation within the built environment. The ideal candidate will have introductory knowledge of digital engineering technologies, structured data management, information standards such as ISO 19650, and digital construction tools and platforms.  

You will be confident working collaboratively with project teams and internal stakeholders, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and approachable way. You should be motivated to learn, adaptable to changing digital requirements, and comfortable supporting the delivery of digital solutions in a fast-paced project environment.  

Experience or familiarity with tools such as Microsoft 365, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Solibri, Twinmotion, Synchro, Unreal Engine, Unity and Power BI would be beneficial, alongside an interest in automation, digital building technologies, AI and emerging technologies.
